English for Academic Purposes
EAP is for you if you want to make sure you are linguistically ready to study in English. It is a course worth doing before taking IELTS or TOEFL to get enrolled in universities in English-speaking countries.
Preparation classes cover vocabulary, grammar and activities using the four skills: reading, writing, speaking (including pronunciation), and listening. Nevertheless, EAP tries to tie these to the specific study needs of students, for example vocabulary based on academic texts.
All the materials you need are provided at the beginning of each lesson, or as a package before the start of the course.
